Bowers & Wilkins announces PX7 S2e

  • In the same month that Focal and Sennheiser announce new colourways for their respective Bathys and Momentum 4 Wireless models, Bowers & Wilkins would like us to consider an ‘evolved’ PX7 S2. The all-new PX7 S2e replaces the PX7 S2 (review here) in the British company’s active noise-cancelling headphone line-up.

The ‘e’ version retains the original’s 15-minute quick charge, aptX HD support and EQ-equipped smartphone app but adds an upgraded DSP circuit that has allowed the B&W engineering team to revise the tuning for “unmatched detail, dynamics and spaciousness.”

Not to be outdone by its German and French rivals, Bowers & Wilkins will be offering the PX7 S2e in four finishes: Anthracite Black, Ocean Blue and Cloud Grey and a new Forest Green (which would be my preference were I to buy a pair).

    Bowers & Wilkins’ Px7 S2e are on sale from today (19th September) for ยฃ379, โ‚ฌ429 or US$399.
