If you like to see low THD and IMD numbers on your amplifier’s specifications sheet and you don’t need the network streamer, DAC, pre-amplifier and DIRAC room compensation offered by NAD’s M33 super-integrated, you might wanna pull up a chair for a moment because NAD’s newly announced Masters M23 puts Purifi’s load-invariant Eingentakt amplifier modules inside an “all-alloy” chassis for a stereo power amplifier that threatens 200wpc into 8 Ohms and 380wpc into 4 Ohms; NAD’s in-house Eigentakt customisation arrives in the form of power supply and input stage design.
From the press release: “The M23 HybridDigital stereo power amplifier featuring the Eigentakt amplification technology provides nearly unmeasurable distortion, ultra-high damping factor, and unconditional stability with any speaker.”
On the back panel we find single-ended RCA and balanced XLR inputs, bridge mode activation, 12V trigger as well as three selectable gain levels. The M23 clicked into bridge mode can also be paired with an M33 for a whopping 700wpc.
Pricing on the Masters M23 says hello at US$3499, €3499 or £2999.
