Eversolo DMP-A6 video review

The DMP-A6 (€859) is a streaming DAC from China’s Eversolo (a Zidoo sub-brand). Its key feature is a 6″ touchscreen, turned to ultra widescreen landscape mode to accommodate virtual VU meter and cover art display. Out of the box, the DMP-A6 supports Bluetooth, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Apple AirPlay 2 but its heavily customised Android 11 operating system already has Apple Music on its whitelist of installable apps. And with Eversolo’s Apple Music implementation supporting bit-perfect hi-res playback, a side-by-side comparison with a similarly-priced, similarly spec’d touchscreen streaming DAC – FiiO’s R7 (€699) – tees itself up.
